Charlotte Harper, Implementation Analyst

Charlotte_Harper3

I work as an Implementation Analyst at the Spalding site. Prior to joining Bakkavor I worked in financial services and then worked at another local food company for 4 years in various roles from sales order processing to working on a project team looking into forecasting, production planning systems and Protean.

I was first attracted to Bakkavor due to the opportunity for greater career development and the role meant I could concentrate on an implementation role where projects would vary. Since starting for example, I have worked on an in-house recipe system and an ‘off the shelf’ scheduling system with bespoke enhancements.

Working at Bakkavor has meant I have been on a steep learning curve, gaining knowledge and skills with each implementation project. My project management skills have developed and I have also had the opportunity to receive industry-recognised project management training and been able to put into practice approved project methodology.

I enjoy the fact that I am able to work across the different sites and work with different people.  No two sites are the same which offers many challenges along the way. The most rewarding aspects of the job are seeing the systems in place and sites benefiting from them, improving site efficiency and work processes.

To be an Implementation Analyst you need to have a good understanding of business processes, system and process flow knowledge and organisational skills. You definitely need to be a team player and be a good communicator, as well as a lot of patience and determination to see projects through to completion!
