The pages on the website ('the website') are published by Investis Limited ('us' or 'we') on behalf of Bakkavor Group (’Bakkavor Group’).

Data storage

When you visit our website, our web server collects some basic information such as your domain and IP address, which pages you accessed and when. This information does not identify you as an individual, but only the computer that is being used to view the site. The data is used only to analyse the use of our website to help guide improvements. We do not link this data with any personal information collected through the site (see data collection and use). We also use cookies on the Bakkavor website for statistical analysis – further information can be found in the How we use Cookies section.

Data collection and use

We will only collect personal information which you specifically and knowingly provide via the website or by submitting emails and/or online forms.  We will hold and process this only for our own internal business purposes, including lawful purposes relating to recruitment where information is sent by you via the Careers section of the site. Information you provide will not be supplied to anyone outside Bakkavor without first obtaining your consent, unless we are obliged or permitted by law to disclose it.

Please note that the data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and/or stored at, a location outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. By submitting your personal data, you acknowledge and agree to the transfer, storing or processing of your personal data in this way. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, the data will be held securely and in line with the requirements of UK data protection legislation.

Accessing your personal data:

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. We will on written request from you, provide details of any personal information which we hold about you and/or to cease to make use of your personal information for the purposes described above. Please note that an administration fee of £10 applies to information requests.

We may require proof of identity from you prior to disclosing such information, this is in order to safeguard the security of your information.
