We have a duty of care to support the health and wellbeing of all our colleagues and we pride ourselves on the provision and assistance we can offer in helping them manage work, family and personal matters.
To help us do this we have an Occupational Health service. The responsibilities of the Occupational Health team include:
- Ensuring that the physical and mental demands on employees by their respective jobs are properly matched with their individual anatomical, physiological & psychological capabilities, needs and limitations.
- Raising awareness and providing support on lifestyle issues such as smoking, healthy eating, exercise and alcohol consumption.
- Providing support services such as physiotherapy and mental health.
- Advising on the protection of employees against any physical or environmental hazard, which may arise from their work, or from conditions in which it is carried out.
The HR teams within our businesses also provide support to their colleagues by organising a number of Health and Well-being initiatives and events on an ongoing basis which include exercise classes, weight management and reducing anxiety and stress.
We also understand that there will also be various life events that will affect our colleagues and have appropriate policies in place such as maternity leave, paternity leave, bereavement, time off work and flexible working.
