People recruitment & development

We recruit and appraise our people against our values – one of them being Innovation – for us this involves being able to challenge ideas with an open mind and embrace change.

Innovation committee

We have a senior team in place, headed by our CEO, whose role is to develop an innovative business culture, ensure systems are in place to enhance innovation, encourage innovative thinking and facilitate the means by which innovation can be explored.

Committed funds

We know that turning an idea into reality doesn’t always come for free. That’s why at Bakkavor we have a funding system in place to financially support innovative projects.

Internal group awards

We believe that in creating a culture of innovation it is important that we recognise and reward success. Every year we hold two award ceremonies – our Innovation Awards and our Responsibility Awards – which celebrate the initiatives which are making a positive difference to the performance of the business; the welfare of our people; our environmental impact and our local communities.

External recognition

At Bakkavor we don’t need to win awards to know that we are good at what we do, but it’s always nice to receive them. We are proud of the numerous industry and customer awards we’ve received over the years.
