Senior Executive Team

Mike started working in Fresh Prepared Foods in 1989 as a graduate at United Biscuits (subsequently acquired by Heinz) before joining Bakkavor in 2001. Mike started his career in HR before quickly moving onto operations and then general management. Mike was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2014, joined the Board in 2020 and became Chief Executive Officer in 2022.

Lee joined Bakkavor in 1998 and has held several finance, business improvement, M&A and investment management roles within the Group. In his previous role as Investment Manager, Lee identified and led acquisition opportunities in the UK (New Primebake), France (4G), Italy (Ital Pizza) & Czech Republic (Heli Foods). In 2014, he was appointed UK Finance Director, and since that time has overseen various functions and projects, including site closures, new business development, and starting up what is now Operational Excellence. Lee studied Finance & Law at De Montfort University in Leicester, then trained as a Chartered Accountant during his four years with Coopers & Lybrand.

Donna-Maria Lee joined Bakkavor Group plc in September 2018. Donna-Maria has worked within manufacturing, consumer and corporate functions for over 25 years. Prior to joining Bakkavor, she was Senior Vice President, Global HR, Burberry plc. In this role Donna-Maria is accountable for the overall HR strategy, people and change agenda.

Shona joined Bakkavor in 2003 and has served as Managing Director – Bakery since December 2022. Prior to this, Shona was Business Director of our Desserts Sector and, with over 24 years of experience in the food industry, has extensive cross-functional leadership experience, holding various project management, commercial, operations and general management roles within Bakkavor, Northern Foods and Rannoch Food Group. Shona holds a Bachelor of Food Technology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Massey University in New Zealand.

Dave joined Bakkavor in 2001 and has served as Managing Director – Meals since December 2022. Prior to this, he was Business Director of our Meals Sector. With almost 40 years’ experience in the food industry, including United Biscuits and Heinz, Dave has held various operational and general management leadership positions within Bakkavor, including at our Pizza Harrow and Meals London sites.

Kamran joined Bakkavor in 2021 and has served as the US COO since March 2023. He has 30+ years of experience in the food industry, working across CPG, Fresh Produce, Co-packing and Co-manufacturing with world-renowned businesses such as M&M Mars, ConAgra Foods and Hearthside Foods. Prior to Bakkavor, he led multiple functions within manufacturing and supply chain across North America and Europe and was involved in several M&A transactions, network optimisations and operational excellence initiatives. Kamran holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
